A Custom Canvas .... "Hannah"

Is this not the cutest little girl you have ever seen?  This is my beautiful niece, Hannah.  I'm telling you, if her parents would ever let me have her, I'd snatch her up and run before asking any questions.  She is full of character, and questions.. to her mother's dismay.  Being adopted and christened Hannah, which means grace or gracious, is so fitting.  She is God's grace to our family, and we pray that we are His grace to her.  She has two of the most wonderful people for parents.  My brother and sister-in-law are so thankful for her.

Hannah's canvas is a custom match to her bedspread.  Her mom loves strips, so I tried to capture the stripes in her bedding closely.  I think they're pretty good!

The stripes and polka-dots are wrapped around the edge so that no frame is necessary.  I love these little dots poking around the side.

So here's to Miss Hannah from your Aunt Ashlea.  I love you sweet girl, and always will!!!

Let Me Introduce...

These are my little guys.  Seth is the one winking at you.  He is 8 and thinks he's 18.  He can argue his way out of any situation.  Maybe he's destined to be an attorney one day.  *Eek!* For now, we're working on logic and reason, which is difficult when you're 8!  He starts out shy but will talk until he's blue in the face if he's comfortable with you.  He loves to help mom in the kitchen and still wants to be tucked in to bed with a kiss at night.

Caleb is my baby.  He's turning four soon but is happy to remain my baby.  He loves to cuddle, can't get enough kisses, and has a "whining" problem.  He is NOT shy but can be quiet as a mouse and happily plays on his own.  He is short and stocky, in contrast to his brothers long, lean legs, and loves sweets where Seth is happier with a steak and potatoes.  He is creative and imaginative and loves to sing.

The Painted Alphabet is my creative outlet.  I love kids and love making something special to celebrate the joy of childhood.  There's coffee brewing, math facts being drilled, laundry flying, and toys strewn throughout.  So why not throw a lot of paint into the mix?  It's like smelling a fresh box of crayons in August.  I just gotta do it.
